Making Texas Memories: Uptown Shopping

In the past 3 and 1/2 years, we have made many memories that we will tell our children about over and over.
Over the next month, I will be posting stories that I want to make sure to never forget.
I'd hate to have to make up all the details and embelish our stories when it comes time to tell our children about our adventures.

Since we only have a little more than 4 weeks left here, we have a "Must do before we move" list.
It's a list of all those things that we said we wanted to do, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Yesterday it was uptown shopping day.
We had 4 big stores to hit.

Williams-Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, Restoration Hardware, and Pottery Barn.

Ambitious, I know.

I will spare you the details of the parking adventure. Let's just say if it had been a scene in a movie, it would not have been rated G.

Our shopping excursion started at Williams-Sonoma.

This was the first thing that caught our eyes.

For a mere $900 it could have been ours.

We don't know what this is.

We do, however, know what these are.

Next door, they had a pet adoption place.
I think that was much harder to walk out of empty-handed than any of the other places.

Over to Crate & Barrel.

Hello...

We needed to stock up on our glasses because there isn't exactly a Crate & Barrel near The Little House.

This is what a $1000 office chair looks like.
(Sexy man not included)

I was so scared of missing my step, that I couldn't at Mr. Z long enough to take a good picture.

On to the next store...

This is a trunk that closes up and fits in the corner of a room. How neat!

I thought this tray was so cute!

Heh...

Oh, we stopped looking at price tags long before this, but I just couldn't help my self.

Pottery barn, here we come.

Lanterns...I love them.

This looks fun!

This part of the store smelled so great! It's honey-vanilla scent. We bought a diffuser for The Little House.

At the end of our long day, it was almost impossible to refrain from crawling into this lovely bed and ordering room service.

  1. Poor Mr. Magoo...we didn't take a picture of him.

  2. Just wait till you get back here. You can spend Saturday mornings shopping at Champlin's, June Bugs and Wal-Mart. You have to get up early though, 'cause the first two close at noon. It's gonna be wonderful!
